My Approach

Each body is unique and every person needs their own individualized treatment. Each day is different, too. My approach is to be present and grounded in my body today to help my clients feel as comfortable as possible. I am devoted to helping meet the client's individual needs by holding space and helping them find their personal healing path. I pride myself on adaptability and offer a variety of options - including lighting, temperature, accessibility props, various shaped pillows and immersive sound. What sets my work apart is that the client determines the pace of the session. This option to slow down and bring in awareness of the present can assist a client in breaking out of a fight-or-flight response pattern.

I always verbally ask the client before I begin or move away from a hold—physical placement of my hands in a static position. This form of consent gives the client agency to say when they are ready for physical touch and when they need to be in a hold longer for additional support. I also check in with how the client is experiencing physical touch and perceptual space, which can be altered through attentional distance awareness. I take all of these steps to ensure the client is as comfortable as possible and does not feel additional strain in their body. I have had many uncomfortable sessions with practitioners in various modalities who have not been trained to hold this level of awareness and consent, which left me feeling unsafe and alone. I am committed to not having this happen to my clients.

I have learned to listen from a grounded, heart-centered field to the whole system of the client. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) brought me a new understanding of my body and the inherent health and wholeness that is always available. I bring a curiosity to each session about what your body wants to show us today, focusing on connection, storytelling and the healing power of laughter.
